As a sailor and sustainability professional and influencer, I wanted to help the sailing community find a way with less impact. Seeing tremendous steps taken by major race organizations, nonprofits, and foundations dedicated to helping sailors protect their playground, I recognized one particular opportunity. I personally saw magnificent old, and historic sails, a huge material resource, going to waste almost everytime I jumped aboard an exciting ocean race boat- which I have considered sailing opportunities of a lifetime…
I can never seem to ignore our behaviors and constantly strive to facilitate finding a more meaningful way with less impact.
The concept of the brand came from working in the sail industry, becoming a dedicated race fan, observing the sail repurposing production shops and thinking about how to improve on an already fantastic idea- to create an even better story- focus on even more conscious design- promote ocean health awarenesss- model a sustainability program for the global sailing comminuty- and bring to the race fans around the world an extraordinary repurposed sail product, an actual piece of the race!
Our Products
We are striving to create products local to their source, from 100% recycled content materials, and have proceeds go to ocean conservation efforts.
We are looking for collaborations with Race Team Sponsors that want to contribute to the responsible end of life of their teams’ sails as well as companies with like minded visions to create fantastically brilliant repurposed products.
